  6. PROBLEM:       While installing Windows 3.0 on the network, the user 
  7.                receives an "Unknown copy failure" after unexpanding the 
  8.                windows files with EXPALL.BAT and after running SETUP /N 
  9.                (Network).  The users we have seen the problem with are 
  10.                usually running Arcnet.

  12. SOLUTION:      You can use the SETUP /I (ignore) /N (network) or you can 
  13.                change the conflicting address/interrupt of the interface 
  14.                card.

  16. COMMENTS:      Windows evidently does some type of auto configuration to 
  17.                see what IRQs and base I/O addresses are being used.  The 
  18.                default base I/O address of Arcnet cards (2E0h) can conflict 
  19.                with other addresses (in this case a video card) and cause 
  20.                the windows auto configuration not to function properly; 
  21.                thus, causing the error.  This is not just specific to 
  22.                Arcnet; any type of interrupt, base I/O, or memory address 
  23.                could also cause this to occur.
